Gear oil pumps are widely used in petrochemical industry, mine rescue, farmland irrigation and other production fields. It has wide performance adaptability range, small size, simple structure, convenient operation, and low use cost. However, the flow rate of the SS gear oil pumps that we purchase daily is often not suitable for production needs, or due to changes in production processes, the flow rate of the pump is not suitable for production conditions. At this time, the flow of the gear oil pump needs to be adjusted. So how to adjust the flow of gear oil pump?
According to many years of practical experience in the pump industry, Seiken Pump Industry has summarized the following gear oil pump flow adjustment methods.
Method 1 The simplest and most commonly used method to change the flow of the oil gear pump is to adjust the flow of the gear pump as long as the opening of the pump outlet valve is controlled. The essence is to change the position of the pipeline characteristic curve to change the working point of the pump.
Method 2 According to the laws of proportionality and cutting, changing the speed of the pump and changing the structure of the pump can change the characteristic curve of the gear oil pump, so as to achieve the purpose of adjusting the flow rate (while changing the pressure head). But for pumps that are already working, the method of changing the structure of the pump is not convenient, and because the structure of the pump is changed, the versatility of the pump is reduced, although it is economical and convenient to adjust the flow at some times [1], it is also very good in production Use less. Only the method of changing the speed of the gear oil pump to adjust the flow is analyzed here. When changing the pump speed to adjust the flow rate from Q1 to Q2, the pump speed (or motor speed) drops from n1 to n2, and the pump characteristic curve QH and pipeline characteristic curve He=H0+G1Qe2 (pipeline characteristics) at a speed of n2 Curve does not change) Intersect point A3 (Q2, H3), point A3
It is a new working point after adjusting the flow through speed regulation. This adjustment method has obvious adjustment effect, fast, safe and reliable, which can prolong the service life of the pump, save electric energy, and then reduce the speed of operation to effectively reduce the cavitation allowance NPSHr of the stainless steel gear pump, keep the pump away from the cavitation area, and reduce the stainless steel. The possibility of cavitation in gear pumps [2]. The disadvantage is that changing the speed of the pump requires frequency conversion technology to change the speed of the prime mover (usually {HotTag} motor). The principle is complicated, the investment is large, and the flow adjustment range is small.
Method 3 When a single gear oil pump cannot meet the delivery task, the gear oil pumps can be operated in parallel or in series. Two gear oil pumps of the same model are connected in parallel. Although the pressure head does not change much, the total delivery flow is increased. The total efficiency of the parallel pump is the same as that of a single pump; when the stainless steel gear pumps are connected in series, the total pressure head increases , The flow rate does not change much, the total efficiency of the series pump is the same as that of a single pump.
Gear oil pump In fact, as long as you understand the working principle of the gear oil pump, it is not difficult to adjust its flow rate. Through the above three points of study, I hope that everyone will be more handy in the application of gear oil pumps in future production and use.
