Stainless steel gear pumps require customers to provide some selection data during the selection process. Although the more data, the more accurate the selection, but what data does the customer need to provide? The answer is not one.
First, for example, some customers are in the form of a designated pump. Including external gear pump, internal gear pump, single screw pump, twin screw pump, three screw pump, centrifugal pump, cam rotor pump and so on.
Second, the operating parameters of the SS gear pump include: flow, outlet pressure, inlet pressure, pressure difference and so on. It is best to provide the normal, maximum, and minimum flows required. The pressure is related to the diameter of the inlet and outlet, the length of the pipe and the number of bends, so it is best to provide the piping condition while providing the required pressure range.
Third, the physical and chemical properties of the transported media play a crucial role in the selection of pumps. The temperature of the medium and the range of the float are different, and the adaptability of the pump material is different, which restricts the viscosity. The density and viscosity of the medium are related to the choice of the pump's structural form. A general external gear pump can only transport media within 15,000 centistokes. Above this value, the NYP internal gear pump is preferred. Pumps of other constructions are also highly sensitive to viscosity. Whether the medium is corrosive, toxic, flammable or non-lubricating needs to be confirmed.
Fourth, the provision of on-site parameters for working conditions includes: location, environment, electrical parameters, safety valves, interface standards, and so on.
Fifth, the determination of the form of sealing. Including packing seal, single mechanical seal, double mechanical seal, magnetic drive.
Sixth, the material of the pump, whether the customer has specified or has unacceptable materials.
Seven, the last is the requirements of the motor, whether there is a designated manufacturer, whether the speed or speed change.
